MARINE TOUCH POOL ACTIVITY

Introduce your students to the hidden wonders of Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. They will discover and hold an assortment of plants and animals of the sea. The Touch Pool session is designed to cater for one class of up to 30 students. Monday and Tuesday mornings only - three sessions between 9:30am and 12:30pm.

Note: On Wednesday and Thursday mornings the venue for the Touch Pool Activity is Marmion Marine Park, Trigg Beach.

Sport and dance programs for Pre Primary up to Year 7. Movement to music. Problem solving and challenge activities. Modified sports for juniors. Bush dance nights.

Life Be In It Days - Fun days using a trailer load of equipment eg: Earthball, Parachute, Geetas, Stilts, Tug-o-War, Boomerang Throwing etc.
Olympic Games Tabloid - Children progress through a tabloid of "modified athletic events" eg: javelin, torch relays, gymnastics. Eight different countries are represented as children move through the stations with their 'flag' scoring points for their team at each station. Duration 1 ½ - 2 hours.
Bush Dancing - A variety of bush dances are taught.

Guided walk trail through local bush with information on local plants, animals and the natural environments medicinal, cultural and food uses 11:30 - 12:30

Full day itinerary would commence as above with followup activities after lunch

Knife (tarp) and glue demonstraton
Artefacts and touch table
String making and beading
Sand painting and storytelling
